Inside Flora Farms

When visiting Los Cabos, make sure to dedicate a day of your vacation for visiting Flora Farms. This gorgeous place is tucked at the end of a sand road next to San Jose del Cabo, nearly 25 miles (40 km) northeast of Cabo San Lucas. The neat organic farm spreads over 25 acres (10 ha) in the foothills of the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains and grows all sorts of flowers, veggies, and herbs. You can join a free walking farm tour and see all the seasonal crops. Other experiences include a nature-based spa, Flora's Field Kitchen, cooking classes, farm-to-table restaurant onsite, and Flora Farms celebrations.

Flora Farm Tour

The best way to explore Flora Farms is by taking a 30-minute farm tour followed by lunch. Note that the experience will depend on the season you choose. For eight months out of the year, running from November to June is winter growing season for vegetables and herbs. In contrast, fruit like mangos, papayas, guyabana, soursop, pineapple, bananas, and plums grow from July to October. Apart from the harvest, you'll learn about the history and evolution of Flora Farms. To join the tour, make reservations online on the official website of the Farm.

Flora Farms Kitchen Restaurant

The most favorite part of the visit must be Flora's Field Kitchen which offers a seasonal menu and permanent classics. The meats served here come from the neighboring ranch that raises animals humanely on diets that exclude any hormones or antibiotics. So be assured you'll get a healthy handmade meal.
