Wirikuta Botanical Cactus Garden is located in Puerto Los Cabos, 1.2 miles (2 km) from San José del Cabo. The park is an example of exceptional landscaping and you must visit it for its diverse flora and ancient night performances.
The main attraction here is Wirikuta's three granite pyramids, surrounded by about 1,500 species of cacti and succulent plants. Discover about a million plants from Africa, South America, and Mexico. Apart from cacti, other highlights include a maze of bougainvilleas and sculptures by local artists.
Come to enjoy Mexican past come to life during the ancient Wirikuta Show celebrating Huichol culture. Spectacular night performances run every Wednesday from October to July. You'll see dances, acrobatic performances, and a fire show. Also, booths on the territory usually offer Huichol products.
The best time to visit Wirikuta is naturally between October and July when there's a chance to witness the unique Huichol show and the weather is pleasant. Also, if you visit anytime from late April to June, watch out for cactus bloom.
