Krampus in Los Angeles 2024
A celebration of Christmas and everyone's favorite Alpine monster
Dates: December 7–8, 2024
Spooky masks, bared teeth, and goat costumes don't exactly fit into the traditional vision of Christmas. The half-goat, half-demon figure of Krampus from Alpine Legends is said to accompany St. Nicholas and punish any misbehaving children. In many European cities, this eerie tradition is brought to life through parades where participants weat goat masks and chilling costumes. The custom has even crossed the Atlantic, with Los Angeles now hosting its own Krampus celebration.
