On the night of December 5th, the gothic streets of Prague come alive with the presence of Krampus, a fearsome, furry creature with blood-thirsty eyes who is known for punishing misbehaving children. This contrasts sharply with St. Nicholas, who rewards the well-behaved with gifts. Prague fully embraces this tradition with vibrant shows, parades, and various festivities, making it a highlight of the holiday season.

Krampus Show at the Prague Exhibition Center (November 26, 2024)

The Krampus show at the Prague Exhibition Center, or Výstaviště Praha Holešovice, is a must-see event, showcasing a chilling spectacle with around 150 Krampus characters from renowned Austrian parades, making it the largest Krampus event in Prague. The devilish festivities include fire performances and music by a DJ, creating an electrifying atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy a gastro zone with a variety of hot drinks, devilish sausages, and other refreshments throughout the day. The event also features workshops, face painting, live music, and delicious treats like roasting burritos. Additionally, a welder and other unique attractions will be on hand, ensuring an unforgettable experience.

Schedule & Tickets

Starting at noon and running until 7 pm, visitors can enjoy a photo shoot with Krampus characters. The schedule includes two main highlights: the Krampus Family Show from 4 pm to 5:30 pm, designed for children, and the Krampus Night Show from 7:30 pm to 9 pm, aimed at adults and thrill-seekers.

Participation

It is important to note that pyrotechnics, fires, and loud noises will be part of the experience, so pets should be left at home. Families are encouraged to bring their children for a memorable and exciting experience.

Krampuslauf by Krampus Vysočina (November 24, 2024)

Experience the popular Krampuslauf at Riegrovy Sady Park, featuring Krampus groups from the Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. The area opens to visitors at 4 pm, offering a chance to enjoy delicious food and drinks, warm up by the fires, and savor the Saturday evening with live music. The parade itself begins at 6 pm and will last approximately 90 to 120 minutes. Guests are welcome to stay on the premises after the parade to continue enjoying the festivities.
