Camel Riding at Giza in Pleasant Weather, Egypt 2024
There is no better way to explore the Giza Pyramids, the Seventh Wonder of the World, than atop a camel—particularly enjoyable at sunrise or sunset!
Best time: October–November | March–April
One of the best ways to get away from the hustle and bustle of Cairo is camel riding. You can also see beautiful landscapes, take unforgettable photos, and learn more about the ancient feats of engineering and ancient history. Camel tours are held around the Giza plateau at sunrise or sunset. Wander the pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus then continue to the Great Sphinx and explore the Pyramid of King Chephren. The most convenient time to visit the desert is during the spring and fall months due to more moderate temperatures especially from October to November and from March to April.
