Bite of Oregon takes place every September in Portland, Oregon. This three-day food festival is considered to be the most popular in Oregon, attracting about 50,000 people every year to Tom McCall Waterfront Park. Local foodies look forward to this event to enjoy delicious food from seven regions, visit a craft beer garden, and wine pavilion. Tasting and sampling are complemented by excellent local music, dances, and talented chefs demonstrations.
One of the main highlights of the festival is the Iron Chef Oregon competition. Watch the battle of the most skilled Oregon chefs in real-time! Various special events include Oregon Dessert Pavilion, Oregon Chef's Table, Portland Food Cart Cuisine, presentation of Food Network and Bravo TV's top chefs, James Beard Awards with demonstrations and signings.
The Taste of Oregon features entertainment on four stages. Sysco's Oregon Chef Stage showcases the art of cooking. The Garden Stage near the Oregon Craft Beer Garden features local and regional musical talent. The Vineyard Stage is located near the Wine Pavilion. Meanwhile, the Community Stage is all about juggling, Irish and Scottish dancing, and music of the world. Acrobats, magicians, circus art and other kinds of performers entertain the public near the Dessert Pavillion.
