Horseback Riding in Estonia 2025
Enjoy a horseback ride through mystical forests paths, sandy coasts, or green meadows
Best time: May–October
One more active way to spend time in Estonia is horse riding. It doesn't matter whether you are experienced or this is your first ride. Most farmsteads and horse riding clubs have professional trainers who can teach you some skills. You can actually ride a native Estonian horse which can be traced back to the 14th century. These horses are called a Klepper and is descended from the ancient Northern forest-horse family. Several Klepper breeding farms can be found near Tallinn, in Kõrvemaa, in West-Saaremaa, in Muhu, and Tori. You can also choose to ride in a horse-drawn carriage as well.
