It is hard to imagine a coastal country without a holiday dedicated to marine life. Estonia is no exception. In summer Tallinn becomes a center for celebrating the Maritime Days. The festival includes all kinds of events concerning the sea and the harbor. It is a great chance to see glorious ancient vessels from Estonia, Finland, and Sweden and the best time to have a ride on the historical ship, yacht, or boat, or just watch the sailing regatta Tallinn Race. There will be a lot of water attractions, performances, concerts, workshops, and film screenings. You can also taste amazing seafood.
In 2021, Tallinn Maritime Days will host Tall Ship Races—an international offshore training regatta with rich traditions. This gathering educates young people in teamwork and draws attention to the state of the marine environment.
