L'isle-sur-la-Sorgue is a fishing town with a long tradition of the fishery and today the local fishermen gather annually to pay homage to their patron saint and to maintain traditions. Every third Sunday of July, the fisherman of Counfrarié di pescaire Lilen come together to fish in a traditional technique on Nego-Chin boats. They use nets, fichouires (a kind of trident with seven prongs), and even their bare hands to catch fish. When they are ready are accompanied by a procession and carry their catch to the church of Notre-Dame des Anges for a blessing and honour Our Lady of Sorguette.
