In summer, Saint-Tropez is full of fashionable girls, while in autumn, it's full of men in polo shirts and boat shoes. It means it's time for the Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez. This regatta was founded a few years ago in place of the internationally renowned Nioularge that was stopped because of a terrible accident. After a couple of years of silence, the locals decided that they miss the spectacle of the beautiful wooden classics in the bay of Saint-Tropez, and they founded a new regatta. Now the wind-blown hair, the excitement on the faces of the participants, the wind in the sails, and the azure waters of the Mediterranean sea are back. This annual event gathers thousands of people wanting to see the race, especially as the boats return to the bay. Once again it's crowded in Saint-Tropez in October again.
