The Austin Pride Festival and Parade usually take place in August at Fiesta Gardens in Austin, Texas. As one of the largest Pride events in the state, it attracts over 500,000 attendees. Pride Week in Austin is renowned for its vibrant parties and fantastic entertainment throughout the city. This year, Austin Pride is turning up the heat with the theme "Queer Cabaret: Unleashed Glamour + Glitz"!
Events & Activities
The Pride Festival takes place at Fiesta Gardens from 11 am to 6 pm. It offers free inflatable games and carnival rides, as well as Drag Queen Story Time under the Big Tree in the Family Zone from noon to 1 pm. The event features a fair with over 140 vendor booths showcasing arts and crafts, along with food and drinks vendors. Enjoy the variety of activities, including free inflatable games and carnival rides.
Pride Parade
The Pride Parade is the highlight of Austin Pride Week, taking place on Congress Ave. in the Warehouse District from 8 pm to 11 pm. It kicks off at the Texas State Capitol Building and marches down Congress Ave., ending on the Ann Richards Bridge. The parade route includes two Emcee stages: one at the intersection of Congress and 4th and another on the rooftop at Rain. The event features many local organizations, party promoters, queer icons, drag queens, and spectacular floats. The parade is free and open to the public.
Tickets
Ticket options include an Early Bird General Admission for $10, with tickets also available at the festival gates for $20. VIQ (Very Important Queer) tickets are offered at $125, while admission for youth aged 7-17 is $10. Children 6 and under can attend for free, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all.
