Ice skating remains a popular pastime in Toronto throughout the entire year, but winter outdoor ice rinks are the most delightful. The most famous of them must be the always-crowded Nathan Phillips rink in front of the City Hall. Others include the Harbourfront Centre Natrel Rink renowned for Saturday DJ music, the family-friendly ice rink at Evergreen, and the rinks in Mel Lastman Square, at Greenwood Park, and Colonel Samuel Smith Park. Most winter rinks open in late November and operate well into March.
