Kings Dominion WinterFest is the annual holiday celebration and one of the top Christmas attractions in Virginia. Held from late November to early January, WinterFest features millions of Christmas lights, garlands, light displays, a 300-foot-tall Christmas tree, and one of the best ice rinks in the Richmond area. Kings Dominion becomes a true winter wonderland that will surely get you in the holiday spirit and create lots of memories!
One of the biggest highlights of the WinterFest is the Wonderland Parade, taking place every day at 9 pm. The show features beautifully decorated floats, dazzling displays as well as singers and dancers. The parade showcases classic Christmas themes like gingerbread houses, choo-choo trains, and toy boxes.
Kings Dominion also offers live entertainment parkwide every night. Candy Cane Lane is one of the best areas to immerse in holiday lights and festive holiday music. Don't miss Jingle Jazz, Tinker’s Toy Factory, Cool Yule Christmas, and many shows that you can enjoy while dining on holiday treats. If you prefer a more active experience, then try ice skating on Snow Flake Lake, make cookies with Mrs. Claus, or indulge in holiday shopping in festively decorated shops and artisan galleries.
