The lineups at Hampton Jazz Festival typically feature a fine mix of jazz, R&B, and blues artists, catering to versatile music tastes. The directory is usually revealed around early March, and the tickets go on sale typically in the same week. This year, the Hampton Coliseum stage will host numerous incredible musicians during its three-day run. On Friday, neo-soul artist KEM, R&B diva Ledisi, blues master Christone "Kingfish" Ingram turn up the heat in the music hall with their sensual and groovy performances.

Kustom Made Band will open Saturday's show. The evening surprises the audience with the comeback of R&B legends Boyz II Men, Coco Jones, a Grammy holder, and Boney James, a contemporary jazz artist. Sunday has a lot to offer as well, with Jon Batiste headlining the stage. October London and Brian Culbertson complete the festival's lineup.

Schedule

The festival always takes place on the last weekend of June. The Hampton Coliseum doors open an hour before the event's start time. The show itself begins at 7:30 pm on June 28th, 7 pm on June 29th, and 2 pm on June 30th.

Tickets

The tickets range from $95 to $599 for platinum seats offering a great view of the stage. Most tickets fall into the range of $95 or $105, but if you'd like a more immersive experience, consider purchasing some more expensive options. You can't bring your food or beverages, but the Coliseum offers a great menu of concessions items, including some alcohol.

Location

Hampton Jazz Fest takes place entirely in the Hampton Coliseum, located near Coliseum Lake, a picturesque spot worth visiting on its own. Hampton is situated 30 miles (48 km) southeast of Williamsburg and 77 miles (124 km) from Richmond. If you're driving, parking near Hampton Coliseum is free for all concert attendees.
