Every summer, a small Scandinavian Denmark becomes home to some of Europe's most important international music annual events. Get ready for an "ocean of music style" across multiple days over a thousand concerts over a hundred different stages occupying the Danish capital.

Lineup

The Copenhagen Jazz Festival 2024 will feature an array of distinguished artists. Rufus Wainwright has been announced as the first headliner. American guitar icon Bill Frisell and his trio are set to perform, while Anohni and The Johnsons will reunite for two special nights. Grammy-winner Cécile McLorin Salvant will also grace the stage at DR Koncerthuset, offering audiences a chance to experience her exceptional talent. In addition to concerts by big-time jazz stars, spectators can take in a special program and develop their skills in contemporary composition, songwriting, and production.

Jazz for Kids

Jazz for Kids is a cherished theme at our festival, offering top-tier jazz performances tailored for our youngest audience and their families. Participating artists are professional musicians who curate bespoke shows incorporating all senses through play, dance, storytelling, and the visual arts. Jazz for Kids Concerts features Musiksanseriet, Deodato Siquir, Martini's For Børn, Moussa Diallo Trio with 'Cirkeline & Coco Rejser til Afrika,' Mek Pek's Åh Abe Trio, Yasmins Børneafro, and many others.

Locations & Tickets

The Copenhagen Jazz Festival hosts approximately 1,200 concerts at over 120 venues scattered across various neighborhoods in Copenhagen, including Amagerbro+Ørestad, Frederiksberg, Østerbro, Nørrebro, Valby+Sydhavn, Vesterbro, Inner City, and Greater Copenhagen. Many concerts take place in the streets, on historic squares, and along the city's picturesque canals. Most of the events are free and open to the public. Ticketed events are available for 100-500 Danish Krone.
