SoWa Winter Festival 2024 in Boston
The biggest winter shopping village and holiday festival in Boston
Dates: November 29–December 22, 2024
The holiday season in Boston starts with the annual SoWa Winter Festival held over a period of two weekends in late November and early December. The largest shopping village in the city hosts over 100 creative makers offering unique handmade gifts for all ages. Visitors can also enjoy winter cocktails and a stroll through SoWa Art + Design District.
Christmas Market
SoWa Winter Festival takes place at the iconic Power Station, an example of late-industrial glamor, which was built in 1896 and boasted the title of the world’s largest electric power plant at that time. You will see this unique space decorated with hundreds of lights and spreading some serious holiday spirit. Vendors are selling everything from homemade cookies to knitted hats and artsy Christmas trees.
The vendor selection at the SoWa Winter Festival is unique, offering a chance to grab a one-of-a-kind piece of art, which you can proudly display in your house. From knitted hats and sweaters to hand-crafted spice rubs and herb blends, the festival's market is truly something to look forward to every year. There is also a fresh food section, where you can purchase fresh dairy and the best local produce. While you're at it, stop by the food court and try out some of the seasonal treats and specialty foods.
If you've already browsed the entire selection of the festival, which seems impossible to do, consider going out onto Thayer Street. More than 100 shops, boutiques, art studios, and galleries in the area are also participating in the festival with special offers and promotions.
