The Amazon River is a full of lots of unique creatures like pink dolphins, piranhas, manatees and caimans. Amazonian caimans belong to the alligator family. There are six different types: Black Caimans, Smooth-Fronted Caimans, Cuvier’s Dwarf Caimans, Spectacled Caimans, Broad-Snouted Caimans, Yacare Caimans. The caiman family usually have smaller sizes than alligators, but the black caiman is the largest caiman on Earth and his size, which have approximately 5 meters, definitely amazing. Caimans aren't dangerous to humans due to their small sizes, except Black ones. Black Caimans can be a threat to humans, but usually they hunt on animals from the jungle.
During the dry season from July until December is a great time to see Amazonian Caimans. At that time rivers are lower, there are fewer mosquitos and it's a great time for hiking and boating in Amazon jungle.
