Þorramatur is the Nordic month of Thorri and a remainder of the old pagan tradition. If you like eating and festivals, Iceland is a dreamland for you. The most delicious Icelandic dishes made of meat and fish are served with specific kind of bread and butter. This festivity lasts from mid-January to mid-February, the first day being January 23rd. This month is dedicated to the celebration of the Norse god Thor. If you are there at the time, do not miss to taste some of the specialties served during this month.
