Dunes at Texel in The Netherlands 2024
The natural phenomenon of continuous sand drifting dunes at Texel National Park is a site for everyone to enjoy
Best time: April–November
The name of the park is actually pronounced "Tessel" and it is as big as 4,300 hectares. The dunes of Texel National Park are of remarkable nature since they are on a constant move. To keep the dunes from "wandering off" the marram grass has been planted. The park is a favourite spot of many, so if you are into a more secluded experience, you may want to aim for spring or autumn. On the other hand, if you are into campsite parties and fun, summer is the best time. Whatever time during this period you choose, it will always be a wonderful experience!
