Les Hivernales 2024 in Provence & French Riviera

Though winter, it may still be hot in Provence if you are attending the annual contemporary dance festival Les Hivernales. It's been held for over 35 years and is one of the oldest in Europe —every year growing in popularity. Now it attracts thousands of dance lovers from all over the world. The festival showcases performances, dance courses, exhibitions, screenings, workshops, talks, and a free dance forum. The festival events are held in different cultural centres around Avignon and Vaucluse for a week between February and March. In July, choreographers can enjoy the CDC's sum​mer festival.​
