The darkest winter nights brighten up around the magic gardens of Powis Castle. During the Christmas festivities, you'll have the opportunity to see this spectacular castle with special decorations, backlit lead statues dancing in spotlights, and visit interesting events, which are held here from late November till Christmas Eve. These days you can visit some special premises of the castle as well. During Christmas, Powis castle features a range of different creative Christmas trees and gift shops. Or you can simply drink a glass of mulled wine in one of the cafes and enjoy a traditional mince pie. Father Christmas is there in his grotto with presents for the kids as well. The most special event is the annual Christmas carol concert of the Chester St. Cecilia Singers, which takes place in the castle's ballroom. In fact, the Powis Castle Christmas atmosphere can easily make you fall in love with this winter destination.
There is a slew of fun to experience in every part of the castle. The Christmas display will be open from 12 pm to 4 pm of each day of the event. You can also visit a special lighting display, illuminating the lofty walls of the Powis Castle on selected dates (check the event's website below).
