Piknic Électronik Montreal is an outdoor electronic music festival with a great atmosphere. The event takes place in the Parc Jean-Drapeau, just 10 minutes from downtown Montréal. Thousands of electronic music enthusiasts gather in the picturesque Jardin Le Petit Prince every Sunday from mid-May to October.
The festival has been one of the main highlights of the Montreal summer for over 15 years. In 2012, Piknic Électronik was organized in Barcelona, followed by Melbourne, Dubai, and Santiago. House-spinning DJs work the decks on two stages while people socialize and dance on the grass. Children under 12 can attend the festival for free, but adults need to purchase tickets.
2024 Lineup
The highlights of 2024 Piknic Électronik include OfF Piknic satellite performance of Bosnian-German DJ Solomun on May 24, from 7 pm to midnight. Grammy-nominated Marshmello will perform on May 31, starting from 8 pm. Marshmello is one of the most acclaimed DJs in the world and the third-most-subscribed artist on YouTube. All Day I Dream, a house and techno project, will take to the stage at 4 pm on June 1. This year's edition of the festival will also feature OfF Piknic appearances by an Australian house music producer Dom Dolla, a Belgian DJ Charlotte de Witte, and an American DJ Diplo.
The regular Piknic Électronik lineup in 2024 is no less impressive. Starting with a kick-off event on Sunday, May 19, the audience will see Moroccan DJ Ahmed Spins, French DJ and producer Nico Moreno, French DJ Joachim Pastor. French collective Acid Arab, English electronic music duo Chase & Status, British DJ Daley Padley, known as Hot Since 82, Australlian DJ Mall Grab, as well as local artists from Canada BLOND:ISH, Jacques Greene, and Misstress Barbara.
Tickets
A seasonal pass is a popular option for enjoying Piknic Électronik on a regular basis. For $159 + taxes ($119 + taxes for students), the Piknic Pass gives you access to the 19 festival events of the regular program. It does not include OfF Piknic events. General admission for OfF Piknic events is $54. The terrace zone access with exclusive bars and the view of the Fizz Stage is $109.
