Tour de l’Île, also known as the Montréal Go Vélo, gathers around 50,000 cyclists for a 20.5-mile (33-km) ride around the island of Montréal followed by a big party afterward. Ride along the spectacular city route—an easy ride that can be done by anyone. If you are not sure you can complete 20.5 miles, opt for the shorter 10.5-mile (17-km) route. There is also a 14-mile (22-km) night course. The ride is usually held in late May or early June on a Sunday, with obligatory preregistration. You can join thousands of local cyclists and feel how the streets of Montréal become overwhelmed with positive energy and enthusiasm.

Tour de l’Île begins and ends in Jeanne-Mance Park. The start time is 9:15 am and the majority of participants choose the full route. There is also an Express ride available for fast riders who can keep up with a pace of 30 kph. For the most ambitious runners, there are extended routes available as well.
