
Tour de l’Île, also known as the Montréal Bikefest, gathers around 50,000 cyclists for a 50km ride around the island of Montréal followed by a big party afterwards. Ride along the spectacular city route—an easy ride that can be done by anyone. If you are not sure you can complete 50km, opt for the shorter 28km route. The ride is usually held in late May or early June on a Sunday, with obligatory preregistration. You can join thousands of local cyclists and feel how the streets of Montréal become overwhelmed with positive energy and enthusiasm.
Tour de l’Île begins and ends in Jeanne-Mance Park. The start time is 9:15 am and the majority of participants choose the full 50km route. There is also an Express ride available for fast riders who can keep up with a pace of 30 km/h. For the most ambitious, there is a 65km to 100km route available as well.
