The Tour of Crete is a multi-stage cycling event. In fact, it's actually a pretty new event, the first tour of Crete was held in 2016, and from that time the event has become annual. The route starts in Heraklion and continues to Chania and back. The first tour of Crete consisted of 6 stages with a total distance of 650 km and 14,000 m in altitude. It's a non-competitive event, and sign-posts are provided everywhere.
During the race you will have a chance to visit approximately 154 villages, riders can use special support stations with food, medical, and mechanical support in case you need help. This event gathers people from all around the world, no matter if you are a professional rider, amateur cycler, or just a beginner—it's an awesome opportunity to discover the beautiful nature and culture of Crete.
