Four days of action on the coastal roads draws over 10,000 athletes and more than 65,000 other cycling enthusiasts to the coastal hills near Monterey. These road racing and mountain biking contests are open for participants of all ages and abilities. Everyone from Olympians to fearless kids can take part in the event.
The race features various possibilities for every kind of cycling, including cross country, downhill, as well as short-track racing events for mountain bikers, criterium, and road events for skinny-tire racers.
As one of the largest bike exhibitions in North America, it is the place to look for new bikes, parts, gears, clothing, and more. There is also lots of entertainment like bike demos, stunt shows, carnival activities, and a food court. The Bicycle Leadership Conference is also held during this week. If you plan a visit to Monterey County, the Sea Otter Classic week is a great time to do it.
