The Arctic Race of Norway is a four-day road race held annually in August amidst Northern Norway's breathtaking scenery. Since its inception in 2013, the event has grown to become Scandinavia's premier international cycling competition and one of Norway's most significant sports events.
Event Highlights
This international cycling competition features four stages, each varying in length and complexity. The first stage begins in Bodø and ends in Rognan, covering a relatively flat distance of 156.9 km. On the second day, racers traverse 175.1 km from Beiarn to Fauske. The penultimate stage spans 155.2 km between Tverlandet and Sulitjelma (Jakobsbakken). On the final day, cyclists complete the last 156.7 km, starting from Glomfjord (Meløy) and returning to Bodø.
Dates
The Arctic Race of Norway will be held from August 4 to 7, 2024. In its eleventh edition, the race will explore the Nordland region above the Arctic Circle. Over four days, the cyclists will need to demonstrate their resilience against the region's strong winds.
