History of La Ruta de Los Conquistadores

La Ruta de Los Conquistadores is named in homage to the Spanish conquistadors who, led by Juan de Cavallón y Arboleda, explored the territory of Costa Rica between 1520 and 1575. While it took the Spanish explorers 20 years to traverse the land, today’s cyclists complete the journey in just three days!
