Everyone can enjoy a bicycle ride on traffic-free central London during Prudential RideLondon FreeCycle. It's a great way to see many of the city's famous landmarks, like Buckingham Palace, St. Paul’s Cathedral or the House of Parliament. The 8-mile route also passes Trafalgar Square, the Bank of England and makes a loop over Waterloo Bridge. No wonder this free event draws dozens of thousands of people. The free ride starts at 9 a.m. in the Strand and Lincoln’s Inn Fields and finishes at the Victoria Embankment. All participants are expected to finish by 4 p.m.
Prudential RideLondon is a cycling festival supported by the Mayor of London. In addition to FreeCycle, it hosts Prudential RideLondon Classique, an amazing 5.4km UCI WorldTour race in central London. The race offers the highest prize money for a women's one-day challenge. The Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic for men, also part of the UCI WorldTour, is held the next day. Amateur cyclists have an opportunity to participate in a 100-mile, 46-mile or 19-mile challenges during the festival.
The festival also features a few Zones to explore with plenty of entertainment: music, bands on bikes, stilt bicycles, and rickshaws. Bike doctors will be available to help with technical problems.
