If you miss winter tubes, summer has prepared another seasonal tubing trail for you
Best time: late December–February
Do not worry if you missed winter tubing season, as the tube park at Tekapo Springs on the Lake Tekapo will be open with the arrival of summer, namely since late December through February. Summer tubing provides pretty the same sensations, although there is no snow around. The natural slippery track is substituted with a green synthetic carpet that has numerous curves and slopes assuring a thrilling tube ride. Rings and helmets are provided. The riders are required to be at least 1 metre tall for the sake of safety.
