Wild Berries in Chile 2025
Prickly Heath and Wild Currant harvested at the end of the world's unpolluted wilderness are truly delicious
Best time: February | April
When you find yourself in the wilderness of Patagonia—it is time to eat wild like the Patagonians do. Wildberries, in particular, are included in the local diet. In particular, one may sample such natural delicacies as "zarzaparirrillas" or wild currants recognized by the clusters of dark red berries with intense flavour, Also be sure to try the fruit "chaura," also known as the prickly heath. Wildberries ripen at the 'end of the world' twice per year: in February and in April.
