When you think 'cranberries', you think Terschelling and Vlieland! These islands are the two only places in the Netherlands where cranberries grow. Moreover, in Terschelling cranberries are not just another berry, - they are the main theme of this northern island. The season, in reality, starts at the end of September, but a grand opening of the fields to the harvest by everyone takes place in October.
