Al Marmoom Heritage Festival 2025 in Dubai
The festival fully dedicated to the heritage of camel racing
Dates: March 3–22, 2025
As a unique heritage festival, the Al Marmoom Heritage Festival includes everything connected to camel races. Interestingly, robot jockeys have been widely used in camel racing since the child jockeys were banned in 2002. The event annually takes place in March or April and features a program of exhilarating camel races, which are highly popular among United Arab Emirates leadership figures.
Program
The festival usually consists of around 300 rounds of camel races, with participants competing for valued prizes, guns, swords, and even daggers. The races are watched by hundreds of spectators, eager to experience the thrill of these magnificent races.
Location
The festival usually takes place at the Dubai Camel Racing Club, located in the Al Marmoom Natural Preserve Area. This sandy, desert spot serves as a perfect venue for the annual camel races.
