The rally runs at two locations—Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach—and is a combination of entertainment and passion for motorcycle culture. Participants gather to celebrate motorcycle culture, showcase custom bikes, enjoy live music, and socialize with fellow riders. The event features various activities, including bike shows, concerts, parties, and group rides along scenic coastal highways.
11th Annual Brookgreen Gardens Memorial Day 5K (May 26, 2024)
The Annual Brookgreen Gardens Memorial Day 5K is a great way to get active while enjoying art at the sculpture garden and nature at the wildlife preserve. The 9,100 acres of property span several gardens, featuring American figurative sculptures, the Lowcountry Zoo, and several tennis courts. You can also choose the virtual option and run/walk from your location.
The 5K race takes off at 6 pm, south of Murrells Inlet. Registration is only available online and closes on Sunday, May 26, at 4:30 pm. The race ticket is $40, and the virtual option race is $55. Animals, baby joggers, baby strollers, roller blades, skate boards, unauthorized bicycles, or any other wheeled device are not permitted on the race course.
Black Bike Week (unconfirmed, 2024)
Black Bike Week is usually held during Memorial Day weekend, May 24 to 27, in 2024. According to various reports, attendance has ranged from 350,000 to as high as 400,000. Black Bike Week is considered the third or fourth largest motorcycle rally in the USA. The organizers describe this event as "nonstop riding, partying, and fun." Also, Black Bike Week promises "No Helmet Law, No Noise Ordinance, and No Haters."
The Surfside Beach Memorial Day Golf Cart Parade (May 27, 2024)
The Surfside Beach Memorial Day Golf Cart Parade is held annually on Memorial Day. Golf carts are decorated in their patriotic best for a chance at prizes. In order to reach Melody Lane, the parade goes down Ocean Boulevard from the Holiday Inn. Only golf carts are allowed in the parade. At 2 pm, there will be a ceremony, honoring USA's fallen heroes at Memorial Park.
