Memorial Day Weekend rolls in with a plethora of festivals, museum exhibitions, outdoor adventures, craft beer tastings, and sizzling BBQ parties. Denver is an excellent place to welcome summer with family and friends, enjoying the warm weather and beautiful Colorado landscapes.

Denver Arts Festival (May 25-26, 2024)

The Denver Arts Festival is one of the major annual cultural events, which usually takes place in Mile City during the Memorial Day Weekend. The free outdoor festival features over 150 renowned artists from Colorado and other states. Curated art displays are available for the public at the Central Park (Stapleton's Conservatory Green Plaza) and other locations. One of the top art shows in the country attracts about 50,000 attendees annually. The event has a free admission. Denver Arts Festival runs from 10 am to 6 pm on Saturday, and from 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday.

Boulder Creek Festival (May 24–27, 2024)

Boulder Creek Festival is the most important annual event at Boulder Country, which takes place during the Memorial Day Weekend. Three days of festivities include a variety of events, activities, food, and entertainment. Over 200 vendors offer their best wares: arts, crafts, and various merchandise. Three stages of entertainment feature live music and dance. Over 30 bands will play at the festival throughout the weekend. One of the biggest highlights of Boulder Creek Festival is a kickoff concert on Friday night. The little ones can enjoy children's concerts, games, face painting, and carnival rides. Visitors will also have plenty of food and beverage options, including vegan, healthy foods, and food trucks favorites. The festival takes place at 1212 Canyon Blvd., Boulder, and is free for the public to attend.

Memorial Day Parade in Commerce City (May 27, 2024)

Commerce City hosts one of the largest Memorial Day parades in Colorado. It features more than 100 entries, like marching units, military bands, antique and classic cars, motorcycles, floats, equestrian units, and much more. The parade starts at 9:30 am and travels 1.5 miles (2,4 km) for about two hours. The route begins at E. 64 Ave & Newport St., then turns on Holly St., and ends at E.60 & Colorado Ave. One hour before the parade, the city also hosts a ceremony at Veteran’s Memorial Park to honor fallen heroes. Commerce City Memorial Day Parade gathers thousands of spectators from all over the state, who come to witness this impressive patriotic procession every year on Memorial Day.
