This annual event is Denver's ultimate Irish celebration. Over 10,000 people participate in the parade, more than 200,000 join as spectators, and around 300 individuals usually come as volunteers. This year's parade is still being planned, so follow their Facebook page to stay tuned about any forthcoming updates. The festivities usually start at 9:30 am in front of Union Station.

Runnin' of the Green (mid-March 2023)

On St. Patrick's Day, Denver residents love to engage in sports. You can join locals in the annual jogging races, which basically mark the beginning of the running season. Whether you opt for a 7 mile (11 km) route or a simpler 2 mile (3 km) path, have no doubt that the views of Denver's gorgeous downtown will inspire you for days to come. What else? Plenty of good beer, live music, and Irish dancing performances. Participants come together for the race at Boulder Running Company Cherry Creek at around 11 am.

When planning your stay in Denver, be sure to book your accommodation in advance as the city’s very busy this time of year. And don’t forget to check our external resources section for any additional information.
