Every winter, Denver Christkindl Market brings the atmosphere of European Christmas to Colorado. Organized by the Colorado Chapter of the German American Chamber of Commerce, the market transforms Civic Center Park into a medieval German Townsquare filled with huts decorated with twinkling lights. Excellent Bavarian beer, Glühwein, and signature German holiday treats are accompanied by songs and dancing.

Vendors sell beautiful artisan gifts and holiday decorations from all over the world. The Denver Christkindl Market opens on Friday before Thanksgiving and closes on the 23rd of December.

The highlight of the market is its opening ceremony that features Christkind, the traditional Christmas gift-bringer in Germany and Austria. Christkind is played by a young woman dressed in white, with blonde hair and a golden crown.

Whether you are strolling through the market alleys shopping for Christmas gifts or warming up in the festival tent enjoying live entertainment; Denver Christkindl Market is a good place to enjoy the spirit of Christmas and magical city illumination.
