When Santa arrives in Banff on a sleigh filled with presents, kids and adults alike feel that Christmas is near. A weekend-long festive Christmas market surrounded by snow-capped mountains is an excellent getaway. The market days warm people up with carolling, live music, mulled wine, and gift shopping.
The Warner Stables are transformed into a market alley with a dozen booths offering handcrafted gifts. Banff Christmas Market captures European tradition, but, also has a distinct local flare showcasing the products of Bow Valley and Rocky Mountain culture.
Food includes BBQ and traditional European Christmas treats and sweets. It's a great destination for the whole family. Children under 12 enjoy free admission while adults pay $5.
