2024 Market Weekend Dates

The 2024 market weekend dates are as follows: November 14, which is Local's Night, followed by November 15-17, November 22-24, November 29 to December 1, and December 6-8.

Open Hours

The 2024 Banff Christmas Market will be open on Thursday, November 14, from 5 pm to 9 pm. For the remaining weekends, it will operate from 10 am to 8 pm on Fridays and Saturdays and from 10 am to 4 pm on Sundays.

Christmas Market

The Warner Stables are transformed into a festive market alley for the Banff Christmas Market, featuring a dozen booths offering handcrafted gifts. While the market captures the charm of European holiday traditions, it also boasts a unique local flair, showcasing products from Bow Valley and Rocky Mountain culture. With over 150 artisanal vendors, 13 days of holiday magic, and an array of Christmas treats and warm drinks, there's something for everyone in the family. The food offerings include BBQ and traditional European Christmas sweets, making it a perfect holiday destination for all ages.

Events & Activities

In addition to its unique shopping experience, the Banff Christmas Market offers a variety of festive activities. Live music fills the air every day, starting at 10:30 a.m., while Santa makes daily appearances beginning at 11:30 a.m. Visitors can also enjoy a special Tree Lighting Ceremony with Santa Claus. For adults, a new outdoor lounge bar by Park Distillery offers craft spirits, where they can relax by the outdoor fire lounge while enjoying the holiday atmosphere. Meanwhile, children can meet Santa, have their photo taken, and share their Christmas wishes. Sleigh rides departing regularly from the market and along the Banff Trail are a hit with visitors of all ages. Adding to the festive cheer, the Bow Valley Chorus performs carols and classic Christmas compositions. At the same time, the Fire Lounge, featuring live music, provides a cozy spot to enjoy a hot drink and unwind by the fire amidst the magic of the season.

The entry fees for the Banff Christmas Market are as follows: Adults (ages 11-64) are $15.00, seniors (65+) are $12.00, and children (ages 3-10) are $5.00. Children 2 and under can enter for free.
