Peoples Gas Holiday Market 2024 in Pittsburgh, PA
A cherished European Christmas tradition comes alive in downtown Pittsburgh with a touch of local charm
Dates: November 22–December 24, 2024
Every winter, Peoples Gas Holiday Market brings the merry bustle of traditional holiday shopping to the very heart of Pittsburgh. Dozens of Alpine-style wooden chalets are brimming with holiday ornaments, gifts, and lights. Visitors will be treated to the smell of strudel drifting across the Market Square—just like at the original German Christkindlemarkt. Alongside the vendors and artisans, the Christmas market features a centerpiece stage providing daily live entertainment. The visitors can partake in a karaoke contest, watch community acts, and of course, meet with Santa.
Entertainment
A portion of the funds earned at the market goes to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank to overcome food insecurity in the area. This makes the Peoples Gas Holiday Market a great opportunity to enjoy the Christmas atmosphere and contribute to a meaningful cause. While at the Market, consider challenging your friends on an ice skating rink at the PPG place, grabbing a holiday souvenir to put in your kid's stocking, or enjoying a pleasant conversation with Santa. Children can play a variety of thrilling games, participate in interesting workshops, including sweater decorating, and listen to a Christmas story.
