Christmas Made in the South 2024, Charlotte, NC

Christmas Made in the South is the premier crafts show that features hundreds of artists and various creators. The annual juried event occurs in late October at the Cabarrus Arena and Events Center in Concord, North Carolina. More than 400 exhibitors demonstrate their handmade skills and imagination while visitors immerse themselves in the holiday spirit and create positive memories. This year marks the 43rd edition of Christmas Made in the South in the Greater Charlotte area.

Arts & Crafts Market

Christmas Made in the South is an excellent place for holiday shopping for gifts and seasonal decorations. The show has become one of the favorite traditions in Charlotte. Held since 1981, Christmas Made in the South offers a three-day showcase of the best artisans and craftsmen in the region. Exhibitors offer beautiful pottery, glass-blowing creations, handmade ornaments, apparel, bags, jewelry, and floral centerpieces. You can find paintings, and other fine art in watercolors, oil, and acrylic paint. Plenty of wood and metal works are on display too.

Food & Beverages Selection

For foodies, there are specialty coffees, gourmet cheeses, sweets, and much more. The Holiday Buffet, which costs $22 per person, offers a diverse range of delectable dishes, including assorted salads, casseroles, lasagna, meatloaf, and various other meals. For desert, you can treat your taste buds to a delightful cobbler or ice cream.

Great shopping and unique entertainment at the crafts show will suit any taste. Christmas Made in the South runs from 10 am to 6 pm on Friday and Saturday as well as from 11 am to 5 pm on Sunday. Admission is $9 at the door and is valid during all three days of the festival. Children under 12 can get in for free. Parking at the venue is completely free.

Location in Concord

The event is annually held at the Cabarrus Arena & Events Center in Concord, approximately 29 miles (47 km) from Charlotte. With more than 140,000 square feet (13,000 sq m) of space, the venue is perfect for the massive craft fair that is Christmas Made in the South. It's also situated 41 miles (66 km) from Carowinds Amusement Park, one of the most popular family-friendly attractions in the area.
