Vancouver Christmas Market 2024

Christmas market in Vancouver takes place annually between late November and late December at Jack Poole Plaza in the city downtown. It is a perfect place for holiday shopping, getting into the festive spirit while meeting friends, and drinking mulled wine. This holiday event features over 80 huts with gifts, German-style sweets, treats, and treasures from all over the world, making winter the best time to visit Vancouver.

Christmas Market Highlights

The Vancouver Christmas Market bears an authentic German village atmosphere and offers a considerable selection of German and Austrian beers. Food delights include a variety of sweet and savory specials, which can be either local or European. Artisan huts offer high-quality souvenirs and crafts.

Entertainment

Holiday entertainment includes performances on the Flying Stage, live music, games with Christmas Market mascots “Holly and Jolly,” and a visit to Santa's residence. There is a walk-in Christmas tree adorned with more than 36,000 twinkling lights. Kids can enjoy a ride on the famous Christmas Carousel. This glittering jewel of Christmas village in Vancouver is a great way to get into the Christmas spirit. During Christmas Market Kids' Day children can ride the carousel by donations. Other attractions of Kids Day include delicious Kinderpunsch, special live entertainment for children, free arts & crafts at Kinder Kraft Igloo, a treasure hunt, and, of course, Santa Claus himself receiving holiday wishes at the Vancouver Christmas Market.

Tickets and Hours

General admission tickets to enter the market are $14.99 (if purchased online in advance). Season Pass, which gives unlimited access and priority entry all season long, is $30.99. In November, the market is open Monday-Thursday from 4:00 pm to 9:30 pm, Friday-Saturday from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm, and Sunday, from 11:00 am to 9:30 pm. In December, the market runs from 11:00 am to 9:30 pm on Sunday-Thursday and from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm on Friday-Saturday.
