Los Angeles may not be the most Irish city in the US, but on St. Patrick's Day, LA gets all green and festive. The Hollywood St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival features plenty of beer as well as Irish dancers and Gaelic pipe music. Another option is to let loose at St. Patrick's Day Block Party & Pub Crawls.

St. Patrick's Day Parade in Hermosa Beach (March 16, 2024)

The South Bay St. Patrick's Day Festival & Parade in Hermosa Beach starts at 11 am near Hermosa Beach City Hall on Valley Drive. Then, the parade makes a left turn onto Pier Avenue and finishes at the corner of Hermosa Avenue and 10th Street. Participants of the parade include bagpipers, unique floats, horses, and dogs from the Irish Setters Club of Southern California. Please take into account certain roads closures, namely Valley Drive (between 8th Street & Pier Avenue) will be impassable from 4 am to 2 pm, Pier Avenue (Valley Drive & Hermosa Avenue)—6 am to 3 pm, and likewise Hermosa Avenue (Pier Avenue and 8th Street)—6 am to 3 pm.

St. Patrick's Day Block Party & Pub Crawls (March 16–17, 2024)

St. Patrick's Day Block Party & Pub Crawls event involves over ten different pubs. All you have to do is rally your friends, doll yourselves in glad green rags, check-in from 1 to 4 pm, and bounce from one pub to another for the whole weekend. The participating bars and pubs differ yearly, but you will be given the pub crawl map so as not to get lost. The latest editions featured Pattern Bar, Golden Gopher, La City, The Reserve Nightclub, Broadway Bar, and others. Exclusive drink specials will be served all day, all night. What's more, selected venues will also offer free welcome shots. As for the tickets, you can buy them online (see External Resources below). A limited series of early bird tickets is available at $14. Later on, the prices rise to $24 per day.
