Pensacola gets busy during Memorial Day Weekend, as crowds head to the beaches to bask in the sun during a long weekend. Pensacola's pristine beaches, calm waters of Pensacola Bay, and stunning ocean views are a magnet for families and fans of water sports, such as kayaking, boating, paddleboarding, or windsurfing. The unofficial start of the summer season in Pensacola is also marked with an array of activities: BBQs, picnics, beach parties, and various outdoor festivals.
Veterans Park Memorial Day Ceremony (May 27, 2024)
Many Pensacola residents and guests always gather in Veterans Park for a Memorial Day Ceremony honoring those who lost their lives in the U.S. military. The beautiful park, dotted with war & military monuments around a pond with ducks & turtles, is often called “Pensacola’s Jewel on the Bay.” It's hard to imagine a better setting to pay tribute to America’s fallen warfighters! The Memorial Day Ceremony usually starts with the singing of the National Anthem, a presentation of the colors, a presentation and laying of wreaths, and speeches from renowned members of the community, followed by patriotic music. The event is open to the public.
Memorial Weekend Pensacola (May 23-27, 2024)
Memorial Day Weekend on Pensacola Beach is one of the biggest pride festivals in Florida. Held at Pensacola Beach Park East, the festival gathers thousands of people from all over the country. One of the main attractions of the festival is the Pensacola Circuit Party, taking place every night from 9 pm to 3 am. Don't miss the opening party with DJ Dan Slater and DJ Will Lowe. Wear your best glowing accessories to the Neon Ball, with DJ Tom Stephan and DJ Karsten Sollors, and wear white to Abracadabra, with DJ Joe Gauthreaux DJ Eddie Martinez! Other Memorial Weekend Pensacola attractions include daily Beach Tea Dances from 1 pm to 5 pm and nighttime laser and light show by Laseronics.
Memorial Day Weekend Concert at Historic Seville Quarter (May 26, 2024)
Seville Quarter is the premier music venue in Pensacola and the famous Gulf Coast's entertainment destination since 1967, The historic “Rosie O’Grady’s Warehouse” once was a beer-and-peanuts saloon, known for Dixieland jazz and good times. Now, it's a spacious, hip destination, offering the best entertainment lineup, fine dining, and a unique ambiance. In 2024, for the Memorial Day Weekend Concert, it hosts an energetic guitar band, Roman Street, and Gino Rosaria on Keys. The concert starts at 7 pm, doors and bar open at 6 pm.
