The Cox Pensacola Christmas Parade is a huge event you don’t want to miss. It’s dedicated to Christmas celebrations and features lots of fun. Every year, it attracts over 50,000 visitors, nearly 100 entries, and eight bands from Santa Rosa County, Escambia County, and New Orleans.
The parade begins at Garden Street and Spring Street and ends at South Palafox Street and Government Street. All of its profits go to the local high school band booster organizations. The 1.2 miles (1.9 km) Christmas Parade Dash precedes the parade and is a great holiday tradition for the whole family. You run or walk the one-mile course and then enjoy the Pensacola Annual Christmas Parade. It begins at 5 pm and is a maze through the downtown area, filled with plenty of people cheering. The course ends at Plaza Ferdinand, where a huge candy cane is given to the finishers.
