The first Saturday in December is special in Leesburg, Florida, for the city kicks off the holiday season through a dazzling Leesburg Christmas Parade. Thousands of people gather in historic downtown Leesburg to enjoy colorful holiday-themed floats between 11th Street and Canal Street. The annual community celebration has been going strong since the 1967s, being a crowd-pleaser for both kids and grownups.
Christmas Festival
The Christmas Festival starts at Leesburg Towne Square at 1 pm, filling the streets with holiday cheer. Attendees can enjoy festive foods and warm drinks to get into the holiday spirit. The little ones can enjoy free ice skating, free face painting, and free photos with Santa. The culmination of the evening is The Grinch's appearance!
Christmas Parade
At 6 pm, Main Street gets flooded by marching bands, illuminated floats, twirlers, dancers, and cheerful crowds coming to behold the spectacular show. Besides the parade, the fun-packed celebration features live performances, festive treats, Santa coming to town, workshops, and other family-friendly activities. As a bonus, you will take in Christmas lights galore all over Historic Downtown Leesburg.
