Route & Schedule

You can arrive downtown at 4 pm to enjoy the Battle of the Bands, showcasing talented marching bands from the Baton Rouge area. The parade kicks off at 5:30 pm, starting from River Road at North Boulevard. It winds its way through Convention, Fourth, Laurel, Sixth, and Northland, culminating at Lafayette. This vibrant procession features approximately 80 entries, including colorful floats, lively dance groups, and marching bands, making for an exciting evening of holiday festivities.

Recognized as a Top 10 Signature Project for Kiwanis International, it has also received accolades as a Signature Project Winner for the Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee Districts. The Cortana Kiwanis Foundation recently announced that the net proceeds from the Christmas parade will benefit the Baton Rouge Children’s Advocacy Center and the Baton Rouge Youth Coalition over the next three years. As the largest televised Christmas parade in the Greater Baton Rouge area, it attracts attendees from across South Louisiana, Alabama, Texas, and Mississippi.
