The Bad Axe Christmas Parade is an annual tradition eagerly anticipated by both locals and tourists. Nestled in Downtown Bad Axe, it creates a delightful holiday atmosphere filled with positive emotions.
Route
The lineup for the Tidings & Tinsel Christmas Parade begins at 3:30 pm, with the parade itself starting at 6 pm at Bad Axe Middle School. The parade will proceed along Huron Avenue to the Franklin Inn, running from 6 pm to 8 pm. The event will be hosted by MCs Laurel Brickel and Kurt Damrow, with Co-Grand Marshals Michael Anderson and Scott Zaleski leading the festivities.
Schedule of Events
The holiday festivities will kick off with a free movie showing of Home Alone from 1 pm to 3 pm at the Bad Axe Theatre, where kids will receive a small drink and popcorn free of charge. From 3 pm to 6 pm, enjoy ornament decorating at First United Methodist Church, free cookies courtesy of Murphy's Bakery, and a bean soup fundraiser for the food pantry, available for $1 per cup. Storybook reading by Briynne McCrea will take place from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm at the Historic Log Cabins.
The Tree Lighting Ceremony will begin at 5 pm in front of the Courthouse, followed by S'mores and Hot Cocoa with BA Rotary at Thumb Bank & Trust from 5 pm to 7 pm. Food trucks, including Thumb Lickin' BBQ and Farm 2 You, will be available from 3 pm to 8 pm. Warming areas will be provided at First United Methodist Church, Hagle Realty, and Kevin Rice State Farm.
