Christmas is a big deal for Elizabeth City residents, and the annual Christmas parade is the occasion everyone counts down to every year. Held in city downtown, the parade features many awesome vehicles, including trucks, tractors, floats, motorcycles, holiday sleighs, police cars, fire trucks, Christmas-inspired wagons, and many others. Basically, all city residents, no matter what their profession is, come together to celebrate the birth of Christ during this holiday marching.
At the parade, you can get some candy, listen to Christmas music, meet Santa Claus, relish dazzling lights, or simply sit back in a blanket and enjoy all sorts of decorated cars and thematically dressed people. The parade won’t begin until 5:30 pm (when the sun goes down). Admission to the event is free. Plus, there is handicapped access to the parade. Feel free to bring your little ones along to feel the holiday spirit and celebrate one of the biggest festivities in the world.
