Chandler Light Parade is a free community event, which takes place annually in early December in Chandler, a city southeast of Phoenix, Arizona. Thousands of people come to Dr. A.J. Chandler Park to see the nighttime parade, followed by the official lighting of the annual Tumbleweed Tree. The Tree Lighting festivities, including holiday music, dancing, and performances, start at 4:30 pm and last till 9 pm. Yet, the parade itself is scheduled to run from 6:45 through 8 pm. Santa's House is available for visits too. Food vendors and trucks offer delicious locally made foods and drinks.

Tumbleweed Christmas Tree is one of the most unique holiday trees in the US and first appeared in Chandler in 1957. This desert-inspired Christmas tree was made by residents who gathered tumbleweed from around town. Since then, the Chandler Lights Parade has become one of the most popular holiday events in greater Phoenix area, attracting visitors by dazzling displays of lights, the colorful parade and plenty of activities to keep the holiday spirit up.

If you'd like to participate in this glittering pageantry of lights, note that the Parade of Lights Entry Applications typically open in early July. For more details and updates, please refer to the City of Chandler's official website, the link to which is provided in the External Resources below.
