
Chandler Light Parade takes place annually in early December in Chandler, a city southeast of Phoenix, Arizona. Thousands of people come to Dr. A.J. Chandler Park to see the nighttime parade, followed by the official lighting of the annual Tumbleweed Tree. Festivities start at 4:30 p.m. and last till 9 p.m. They are accompanied by holiday music, dancing, and performances. Santa's House is available for visits. Food vendors and trucks offer delicious locally made foods.
Tumbleweed Christmas Tree is one of the most unique holiday trees in the U.S. and first appeared in Chandler in 1957. This desert-inspired Christmas tree was made by residents who gathered tumbleweed from around town. Chandler Lights Parade has become one of the most popular holiday events in greater Phoenix area attracting visitors by dazzling displays of lights, the colourful parade and plenty of activities to keep the holiday spirit up.
