Elizabethtown is a charming small town in west-central Kentucky, located 45 miles (72 mi) south of Louisville. One of its most famous annual events is the Christmas Parade in Downtown Elizabethtown, held in early December. The parade starts at St. John Road and travels south, ending at the Public Square.

Festivities continue after the parade, as Santa Claus and Etown Mayor light up the Christmas Tree and holiday displays throughout the city. The ceremony is followed by Christmas caroling and a live nativity performance. Families can enjoy photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, various entertainment, as well as food and vendors.

During the holidays, Elizabethtown also boasts beautiful light displays in the Park, the Holiday Marketplace on South Main Street with over 40 craft vendors, holiday performances by The State Theater, and much much more.
