This three-day air show features multiple aerial demonstrations, which will blow your mind

The Owensboro Air Show, held at the Owensboro Regional Airport, transforms the sky into an aerobatic showcase. Once more, all attention will be directed towards the skies over the Ohio River in downtown Owensboro on Saturday and Sunday, where performers will present vintage warbirds, aerobatic demonstrations, and military jets, including the renowned U.S. Navy Blue Angels!
Schedule of Events
Friday's aerial demonstrations offer a select number of performances tailored specifically for the night show at the airport, running from 4 pm to 9 pm. On Saturday and Sunday, from 1 pm until 4:30 pm, spectators can revel in a multitude of impressive performances along the riverfront in Downtown Owensboro. Doors will open to the public at the Owensboro Convention Center at 11:30 AM on both event days.

Owensboro Air Show will feature many renowned aerobatic teams, including Blue Angels, F-35A Lightning Demo Team, Rob Holland, Northern Stars, Wings of Blue, Redline Air Show, Army Aviation Heritage Foundation, KY Air National Guard, Commemorative Air Force – Arizona | B-17, Commemorative Air Force – Arizona | B-25.
Activities at the Airshow
Visitors can explore a diverse array of aircraft at the distinctive static display on Friday at the Owensboro-Daviess County Regional Airport. It's an opportunity to meet the pilots of these planes and get a glimpse of what the Owensboro Air Show has to offer. As the sun sets, watch as performers take to the sky, providing thrilling air show performances and concluding the evening with a spectacular fireworks display.
Rides
There is an opportunity to fly in some of the most renowned military aircraft in history, including the UH-1 Huey, AH-1 Cobra, B-17 Flying Fortress, and B-25 Mitchell. These iconic planes, operated by the Army Aviation Heritage Foundation and the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) – Arizona, will be in Owensboro once again, offering a firsthand experience of what it was like for countless servicemen and women who relied on them throughout their careers. Paid rides will be available each day from Friday, Sept. 13, to Sunday, Sept. 15.
Tickets
The admission fee for Friday is $5 per person, but the show is free on the weekend. Fortunately, you can reserve your seating to secure the best view near the show center. Adult general admission costs $12.00, with tables for 8 ranging from $22.50 to $72.50. Premium seating by Jagoe Homes is available for $180 to $580.
History of Owensboro Air Show
The Owensboro Air Show originated in 2012 as part of the festivities marking the grand opening of the revitalized Smothers Park Riverfront in downtown Owensboro, Kentucky. Over the course of twelve years, it has evolved into a signature community event, annually highlighting the top military jet teams and civilian performers from around the globe.
